How do you reach the entire world with the good news of Jesus Christ, without traveling around the globe?  One way is to preach the gospel and plant churches in a city with a vast transient population of internationals.  Like New York City.

Not long ago, Freddy T. Wyatt and his wife Susan came to the conclusion that was exactly what God wanted them to do.  They had both grown up in Clarksville, TN, so that meant pulling up their roots and moving far away from their families and friends.

You can find out more about the Wyatts and the events that led to their decision to move to New York City at NYC Mission.  There is also a permanent link to their family website (The Wyatt’s) in the sidebar.  I encourage you to keep up with their ministry and pray for them and support them in any way you can.

I first met Freddy a few weeks ago when he spoke at our church.  It was obvious that he (along with the The Gallery Church where he now serves) has a passionate desire to meet the practical and spiritual needs of people in the city.  One of the ways they do that is by ministering to the massive needs of those in the sizable HIV-infected community in New York.

This following video, embedded on their church website, may give you a small glimpse of Freddy T’s heart and The Gallery Church’s ministry.
