Don’t misinterpret the intent of this post.  I am not a right wing fanatic who believes Jesus is a Republican, nor would I endorse everything that’s said at the NRO website.  I did, however, find this piece about a man with Down Syndrome refreshingly clear-headed.  Among other things, the author noted that the man he’d met was “friendlier, better adjusted and more considerate than about half of the people on the streets of Manhattan.”  (HT: Allen Thornburgh)

The Palin family’s sudden prominence has drawn national attention to the shocking number of abortions performed in those instances when unborn babies are diagnosed with Down Syndrome.  In case you missed the link in one of my earlier posts, Andy Crouch at Culture Making thinks the attention being given to the disorder since Palin’s nomination may be her greatest contribution to modern culture.
